Rani was born on March 21st, 1978 and is the six time Filmfare award winner. She started acting in the films since 1992 but paused for nearly four years. She than did a film called Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat in 1996. But the film called Ghulam in 1998 got her tremendous fame and success as the actress. Since then Rani has been a part of the numerous commercially successful films and is proved of delivering the numerous significantly admired performances.
Rani has undoubtedly established herself as one of the best known celebrities of the Bollywood. For the past three consecutive years Rani has been topping the Filmfare’s annual power list of Hindi female actresses, and her total box office impact is estimated to worth well over INR 5 billion. Right at the age of 14, when Rani was in the school, she did a character role in her father’s Bengali film Biyar Phool during 1992. 
Ever since Rani, started doing films after completing her studies, she has been giving series of successful Hindi films and she has proved her caliber and worth in the industry.
Rani comes from the family with film background father Ram Mukherjee her father is the part founder of the Filmalaya Studios also a retired director. Rani Mukherjee’s mother Krishna was the well known playback singer and brother Raja Mukherjee was initially a film producer and now switched on as a director. Debashree Roy her maternal aunt is the national award winning as a Bengali film actress and a famous actress Kajol is her cousin. Rani has studied at Juhu in Manekjee Cooper High School, followed by enrolling at the Mithibai College in Mumbai and also she is the trained Odissi dancer.
